Here you specify permissions related to security
settings impacting the employee profile. Allowed
permissions are displayed with a green dot . Permissions
not allowed are displayed with
a white center circle
. Click the circle to either allow
or remove that permission.
Access Settings/Employee Type
1. This setting controls the Employee Type options available to users with security permission to add/update an Employee Profile. Options available are:
• Supervisor
• Manager
• System User
2. Any user with security permission to add/update an Employee Profile will have the ability to select the Employee Type of “Employee”.
Security Access Settings (Allow)
1. This will allow the User to click the Security Access Settings button and edit the Assignable Hierarchies, Roles, Level Access, Supervisors and Email Addresses tabs.
2. The Security Access Settings button is activated only for the Employee Types selected per the Access Settings/Employee Type configuration.
3. If the User has security permission to VIEW Employee Profile but not update, he will not be allowed to click the Security Access button regardless of the “Security Access Settings” security role setting.
Own Security Access Settings (Allow)
1.This will allow users to click the Security Access Settings button and edit the Assignable Hierarchies, Roles, Level Access, Supervisors and Email Addresses tabs.
2. If the User has security permission to VIEW employee profile but not update, he will not be allowed to click the Security Access button regardless of the “Own Security Access Settings” security role setting.
Access Own Settings/Login (view, edit)
1. This will give permissions to view/edit the fields associated with system login:
• Allow Web Login
• Login ID
• Password
Access Settings/Login (View, Edit)
1. This gives permissions to view/edit the fields associated with system login:
• Allow Web Login
• Login ID
• Password (Note that the user must have separate permission to change the employee’s password once it has been set.)
• For Employee Type of “Employee”, this also gives the User the ability to view/edit the Security Role.
